What was I thinking, a midi skirt for me? So what did I do? I immediately rolled it up so it looked like a regular skater skirt, and wore it with stockings and boots! The definition of a skater skirt is: high-waisted, short and flowy with a hemline that hits above the knee. This is what the midi skirt looked like on the 5’10” tall model. I should have known that a midi would look draggy on me. LOL!
This skirt, via Gwynnie Bee, is a U. S. Size 24, to compare my measurements to yours, to see if these clothes might fit, click HERE.
As you may know from this review, I have a membership to Gwynnie Bee, and if you are interested in trying it FREE for 30 Day please read more HERE. Full disclosure: if you sign up after the free month, I get a month free.

I think your shirt should be talked out. !! lose the belt and boot could be taller. looking good. Xo

How about you dress your body and leave her to dress hers Nancy. I don’t see anyone inviting a critique of her style here, so button your lip lady.
I’m 5’9″, and I had the same problem with that skirt…I just pulled it up so the waistband was right under my bra and wore a sweater that would otherwise linger in my closet because it rides up all day. 🙂 I like the jacket in your outfit.
Super cute outfit! I love the balance of red and black (my favorite color combo) So awesome how you made the skirt work. I love the cut of skater dresses and skirts but being 5’10” I end up layering to add length. I’m happy to know the style comes in midi.
Thanks for adding links for people to shop at. Silhouettes is down for the count, has been for almost a year now. 🙁
Yay for fat-hacking clothes! I do it all the time – pull ’em up, roll ’em up, belt ’em, cinch ’em, tweak ’em. It’s so hard to get clothes that even fit our bodies, so we do what we gotta do to make ’em work for us!
Thanks for posting. LoL
